Neemuch Tragedy: ASI Allegedly Drunk, Runs Over Teacher and Family — One Dead, Four Injured
Neemuch (MP) : A shocking incident has stirred public outrage after Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Manoj Yadav allegedly drove his car under the influence of alcohol and ran over a family in Neemuch district. The tragic accident claimed the life of school teacher Dashrath Singh, while his wife Lalita, son Harshit (10), daughter Jaya (6), and another man, Bhopal Singh, sustained serious injuries.
According to eyewitnesses, the ASI lost control of his vehicle and rammed into the victims who were walking along the roadside. The impact was so severe that Dashrath Singh died on the spot. The injured were immediately rushed to the district hospital, where doctors referred Lalita and Harshit to Udaipur for advanced treatment due to their critical condition.
Following the incident, locals gathered in large numbers at the scene and expressed anger over the police officer’s alleged intoxicated state. The situation turned tense as people demanded strict action and the immediate arrest of the accused ASI.
Authorities have assured a thorough investigation into the case, promising that no one will be spared if found guilty.
